WHAT ARE THE PREDICTED ADULT SIZE OF YOUR PUPPIES?

Our pups are Mini Cavapoos, usually weighing between 7-11 pounds as adults.  There is no guarantee on the adult size, very occasionally, larger.  The Momma dogs are 11-13 pounds and the Male stud dog (Max) is 6 pounds.  The Mini size can be more expensive as the litter size can be small (sometimes only 2 pups), and they require a higher level of post-natal care due to their smaller size.

HOW MUCH ARE YOUR PUPPIES?

Each pup is priced individually. We often breed for the Red Mini Cavapoo variety.   Pricing is based on color, gender, and the current market.  Dark red with white markings is often the most sought after coloring. We do have a waitlist, and prices tend to go up a few hundred dollars per year.  Currently males sell for $2700-2900 and females sell for $3100-3400.

DO YOUR PUPPIES SHED?

All of our puppies are F1b Cavapoos, which is 75% toy poodle. They are considered hypoallergenic and do not shed.  While there is some variety in how curly the coats are, they are all considered non-shedding.  Our momma dogs are 50% toy poodle and 50% Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and they have a wavy fur that is non-shedding. Our Dad dog Max is 100% purebred toy poodle, he has curly fur and is non-shedding.

WHAT COLOR ARE YOUR PUPPIES?

Most of our pups are dark red or apricot red in color. Some will have white markings. The adult color of all cavapoos (from any breeder) could potentially become lighter by the age of two to three years old.  This is due to the poodle fading gene, which cavapoos inherit from the poodle side of their parentage.  It is also true that in some cases, adult Cavapoo coloring does not lighten, or only lightens slightly. 

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GENDERS:

We have seen a wide variety of temperaments across both genders. This is why we hesitate to associate certain personality traits with a gender. There are many legitimate theories on temperament as it relates to gender. Unfortunately some of these credible theories are also conflicting.  One notable consideration is that female puppies tend to be requested and sold more quickly, and are thus sold at a higher fee. But we also have many people who only want a male puppy.  We encourage future owners to consider further research on your own on this topic. 

WHAT IS THE TEMPERAMENT LIKE OF YOUR PUPPIES?

In general, cavapoos are known to be cuddly and playful.  They are friendly and like to be with people. They are smart and more easily trainable than many other breeds.  

We believe one big factor in shaping long term temperament is in how the puppy is raised in the first weeks of life.  This is part of why we are raising our pups on the main floor of our house, and we give a lot of daily social interaction.  We weigh pups regularly and make sure they are each grwoing and have all of their needs met.  We provide play toys, chew toys, and lots of snuggles.  We also  provide early potty training on puppy turf grass. These are the things we believe contribute towards our pups being friendly, happy and having a healthy confidence.
